This is Med and Alta Alella come together to unite sea and land in one plan!
The adventure begins at Marina Vela to embark on our 14-meter Barefoot sailboat and set sail out to sea. You sail through the Mediterranean watching the Barcelona Skyline until you reach the coastal town of El Masnou. We disembark there and a private car will take you to winery. The estate is just two kilometres away from the Mediterranean Sea and the vineyards are planted on slopes and terraces between 100 and 250m above sea level. Upon arrival, a guided tour around the vineyards and winery, where you’ll learn about how this family firm produces thousands of liters of organic wine. There the vines are grown on Sauló soil which is one of the most important elements that define the wines from Alta Alella: an acidic white granite-based sandy soil with low limestone content, low organic matter and good natural water drainage. The harvest is carried out by hand, paying attention to each plant individually by means of accurate ripeness controls, seeking the optimum moment to pick each variety in the healthiest conditions in order to guarantee the best result. The winery works with micro-vinifications and diversity/wine variety of grapes, producing up to fifty different wines for blending every vintage.
After the tour, we’ll head for their spectacular porch covered in plants where you can delight the best views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean. One of the most beautiful sailing experiences in Barcelona!
