In This is Med we have a very direct union with the Mediterranean Sea and our passion for it is the basic concept of all our programs and services. The love we feel for it drives us to recover the essence of the local by offering responsible and transparent tourism both to the city and our sea. Our ambassador Triton, as representative of the ocean, reminds us our constant social and environmental commitment which is “we take care and protect everything that happens there”. That’s why "we take care of the sea" is our CSR footprint and also our clients one. To contribute to the cause This is MED team, makes truth the objective paying attention to every single detail.

OCEAN 52 - WE FAREWELL FROM PLASTIC
As lovers of the sea, we are very aware of the devastating effect of plastic on marine life, that is why we have decided to remove all plastic water bottles from our events. We replace them with canned or glass water from OCEAN 52, an organization with the mission of cleaning and protecting the seabed, which allocates 52% of its profits Ocean 52 is our official supplier for the materials it uses;

Glass: It is a waterproof and non-porous material, which can be continuously recycled without loss of quality or creation of waste.

Aluminum cans: It is one of the easiest materials to recycle, and it also uses only 5% of energy in its production, being a durable, lightweight and easily transportable material.
Our decisions, however small they may seem, have a great impact on how we treat the world, and luckily, we have the opportunity to lead by example.

SUSTAINABLE CATERING
For the same reason at MED we have eliminated plastic bottles, we also act accordingly with all plastic or non-recyclable waste that we can generate during an event.
In our catering you can find starters served in bamboo, ceramic, methacrylate dishes and all kinds of biodegradable materials, thus limiting the general residue of our events.

CRAM FOUNDATION - WE GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPONSOR A TURTLE
Our commitment to the sea is strong and constant, for this reason we actively protect the environment in which we work through the local organization CRAM, a foundation dedicated to the conservation and recovery of marine fauna in the Mediterranean.
For each event contracted with MED, we make a donation to help the recovery of a turtle resident in the foundation. You will receive a sponsorship certificate through which you will know its history and become part of its life.
We believe that it is vitally important that each person can contribute caring of the environment with the intention of creating global concern and action.
It is not about everyone of us doing everything, but that we all do something together.

We collaborate with donations to the protection of those people who try to reach Europe fleeing from warfare, persecution or poverty across the Mediterranean.

BIOSPHERE - OUR LIABILITY CERTIFICATION
Through the Biosphere certification, we accept the covenant and responsibility for tourism sustainability, guaranteeing a balance between the economic, socio-cultural and environmental dimensions of the destinations in which we operate.
Thanks to our CSR programs we encourage participation in practices and activities with a positive environmental impact and we guarantee our commitment to and with the ocean. We are proud to make our This is MED commitment a reality through our corporate event programs.
We guarantee this through our seal "WE TAKE CARE OF THE SEA" as the responsible mark left by our clients in the Mediterranean. In other words, by carrying out our CSR programs, they contribute and leave a positive social and environmental brand in caring for the sea through:
